Whether you’re after a comforting home-cooked meal after a long day at work or fabulous fine dining for a special celebration, our food at The Cricketers Arms ticks every box. Our menus are locally sourced, and accompanied by an excellent wine list in our oak beamed bar or stylish restaurant. Our Children’s Menu is ideal for those 12 years and under and we welcome muddy paws too! We can also cater for wakes, weddings, christenings, birthday parties and other celebrations. The pub can also be hired exclusively for your event if required. We have a purpose built pergola and a selection of buffet menus which can be tailored to your requirements. We’re proud of the food we serve at The Cricketers Arms. Our menus are designed to bring joy through a superb choice of freshly cooked dishes that put flavour at the heart of every plate.

Full English and Continental breakfast

Served daily 8am-10am but please call ahead as our hours may vary.

Lunch

Is served daily from 12 noon to 2.30pm

Dinner

is served daily from 6pm to 8.30pm

During the warmer months, we open for food ALL DAY on Fridays and Saturdays. Between 3pm and 6pm we offer crowd pleasers such as homemade burgers and fish & chips. Please call ahead to check when this starts.

We also have our Sunday lunch menu from 12 noon until 4.30pm, featuring our fabulous ‘Tear & Share’ lamb shoulder and 3 meats ‘Pig n Mix’ roast.

To go with your meal, there’s an extensive choice of wines on our carefully put together Wine List. Enjoy some wonderful wines from around the world, plus there’s a great selection of wines and champagnes by the glass. We are also proud to be serving locally produced sparkling wine from Saffron Grange. Make sure to order a glass (or bottle!) of their Classic Cuvee or Sparkling Rose – you wont be disappointed!

This is our first time at The Cricketers and it will now become our favourite stopover. We are driving to Folkestone from Newcastle and looked for somewhere to break the journey. What a choice, this place has been perfect. It is in a beautiful village overlooking the green. Beers kept beautifully and such bliss sitting outside drinking them. Evening meal was excellent, salmon and prawn curry cooked very well, my husband loved his pork meal. Puddings delightful. Rooms comfortable and very high quality bedding. Breakfast was the poshest I have had, smoked salmon, avocado, feta. Seeds and poached eggs, what a treat.

Nice room in what I think is an old building. The day I arrived the pub was super busy but service was really good nevertheless. Located fairly close to stanstead airport  and good value for money
