This is our first time at The Cricketers and it will now become our favourite stopover. We are driving to Folkestone from Newcastle and looked for somewhere to break the journey. What a choice, this place has been perfect. It is in a beautiful village overlooking the green. Beers kept beautifully and such bliss sitting outside drinking them. Evening meal was excellent, salmon and prawn curry cooked very well, my husband loved his pork meal. Puddings delightful. Rooms comfortable and very high quality bedding. Breakfast was the poshest I have had, smoked salmon, avocado, feta. Seeds and poached eggs, what a treat.

Perfect Sunday lunch. Delicious food, great service and all in the sun watching cricket. Can’t be beaten ! Thanks for a lovely afternoon. Thoroughly recommended.
